The renaissance of woodworking
Ateliers Dunoyer completed the project for the Cœur de Megève conceived, designed and planned down to the smallest detail by interior architect Sybille de Margerie, from the mosaics to the checkerboards, the patterns and the way the light plays on the walnut panels. We work with species such as walnut and oak, acacia and wild cherry, which enhance more contemporary lines while incorporating the notion of the mountain chalet's origins as both a refuge and part of the natural environment. Organic, supple, pure forms created by delicate woodworking create a soothing, reassuring atmosphere. In the sauna, solid old wood was used for the wall cladding and cedar for the bench.
